AnimC: The Archer - Take 2

This is an upgraded version of my old shot, The Archer. It features my custom bow and arrow rig which can be downloaded for free from my previous blog post. This shot definitely came together due in part to both Royce Wesley, Michal Makarewicz, and the great guidance offered at The Animation Collaborative. Special thanks to Josh Burton as well for the Morpheus Rig.

Free Maya Rig: Bow and Arrow

I'm posting a download link for a rig that I created for one of my shots, The Archer. I've received a few requests for the rig since posting the shot, and as far as I can tell there is no other free bow and arrow rig for Maya online, so I decided I would just release it for anybody who wants it!

I think it's pretty easy to use, and I'm including usage notes in the compressed file, but if there are any questions feel free to shoot me an email.

The files were saved in Maya 2013, but should work fine in earlier versions. I haven't personally tested it with anything earlier than 2011.

Download from Creative Crash: Click Here

The rig is perfectly free and I have no intention of limiting what is done with it, but I do simply ask that you give me appropriate credit if you use it for anything that gets posted online. Thanks!

AnimC Storyboarding: Secluded

This is an unrefined version of a story I worked on for my Storyboarding class a few months ago with Louis Gonzales of Pixar. I've been calling it "Secluded" but it's just a working title (may as well call it something).

It's a bit sappy and hopefully a bit cute. Enjoy!

AnimC: Vanilla Walk Cycle

A vanilla walk cycle using Josh Burton's Morpheus rig.

Created using an entirely linear animation workflow (a technique that differs from the usual pose-to-pose or straight-ahead styles), as taught by animator Rob Thompson (Pixar) at the Animation Collaborative.
